My Military Defenders MOT today

Got my Military Defenders MOT today. 19 years old and 206,000Kms. Hopefully should go straight thru. Only 1500Kms since last MOT.

Called a few specialist insurance companys yesterday to get a quote. At the moment it's costing me about £240 fully comp with a normal insurance company. Called Roadsure and Footman James. Roadsure was £111 fully comp a year and Footman James was £86 (YES £86) fully comp a year. Mmmm looks like I will be going with them this year. Also guaranteed agreed value too, so bonus.

Well. I've owned this Landy from a month after it's release from the RAF up to now, which is now nine years. I put her straight into her first MOT when I bought her from auction and she went straight thru.

Today she passed again....

That's now 9 consecutive straight thru MOT passes in a row. What a machine.

But at £50 for the MOT I nearly died of shock.

Oh and she is still good on emissions.

My Series 3 has been parked in a garage now since December 1998 when I got my Defender. So no emissions to worry about there. Mind you its got an excellent engine and I'm sure it would sail thru.
