Help! - starter motor issues - stranded!

    Try this

    it may sound stupid and you may have already done this but i had the same problem and it worked for me, individually remove clean and replace(tighten well) all the battery terminal connections. i wasted 4to5 hours before i tried this and it did work for me.

      Thanks to all. As it turned out (well guessed Vince!) I'd just flattened the batteries by doing all that tinkering. Simplest answer, as always, turns out to be correct. Thank *uck I don't have to try getting the starter out.

      I guess the batteries (one at least) are on their way out as it has been chuggish starting recently and not just the cold probably. Perhaps it's time to invest in some beefy batteries.

      Again, cheers for the advice.
