    Lest we forget....

As an ex serviceman I would like to say how honoured I am having served in the shadow of all the hero’s that gave their lives for the freedom we now enjoy.

May you rest in peace. You will never be forgotten.

        Agreed 100%

They gave up their lives for us, it's the least we can do.

Amen, Anyone watch the Somme last night? christ what a slaughter, human life is cheap it seems and still is, My grandad went through that, and came through uninjured, But he never once spoke of it, that i know of. My dad was in the follow-up landings day after D day and he did'nt say much about it either, Guess you cant explain to ordinary people and it's easier to say nothing.

I agree with Tony. Put the politics to one side for today.

I would like to say how pleased I was to see servicemen from the Commonwealth and other allies represented. To my shame I did 6 years in the RAF and had no idea that there were Indian and Caribbean Aircrew and groundcrew until years after my service was up. I only found out when a guy at work showed me a pic of his grandad in a Hawker Hurricane.

                  Thanks to all who fell.
