    Ok so GB dont have any jobs apart from bad management and burger van fed council "workers", we all knew that but the report from EU that we (GB) are taxed at a standard rate of 92% via stealth is scary!!!! Then the BoE up the interest rates and the tin pot councilors want to replace the council tax with 9% value tax!!!

    Nice here innit?

      The council tax replacement con concerns Scotland only and details can be found on most media / political sites.

      Re the 92p in the pound working mans tax, this was a newspaper article shown to me by a customer, the story was a true look at taxes in EUland and good old GB faired the worst with 92% reclaimed by the UK/local gov, I will try and get a copy or even find out which rag did the sums.

          They must have heard you Matt 'cos it got a one liner on the national news tonight on how English councils are looking for a replacement .

          Last night's TV news bloke went to great trouble trying to explain how the new "poll tax" would work, yes it's back to house value and old folk wont qualify for discounts nor rebates BUT they wont be dragged through the courts 'cos banks/councils will have the automatic right to sell the property when the old git die's! Nice innit?
