Hi Guys,

Sorry for the delay with the video. i am not technically minded.

I would just like to say what a great day we had. Excellent company. We had lots of fun. many thanks for letting me come along with you guys. I do appreciate it. I must admit, I was getting very concerned when we had 1 surf and a shogun stuck. It was getting well out of my league!. Still, we sorted it out together with excellent team work. I hope you guys would pull me out if I ever get stuck!

OK, just watched the vid, and it looks like it was a fun day out..

BUT I've got to ask... Why were those kids at the end left by themselves in a potentially dangerous position?? And they jumped over a tow rope, between vehicles!!! WHILST TOWING!!!!

Earlier in the video, we'd already seen one tow rope break, or at least come free of it's mountings.. This could have had serious consequences..

Not wanting to spoil peoples fun, but we need to be safe when doing our hobby..

there's a video somewhere (possibly mud club??)
they're santching with a kinetic rope and it rips the entire crossmember off a landrover and fires it about 50ft towards the towing vehicle!!

i thought it was funny!.... (cos no-one was hurt)

but the forum "safety experts" went mad for about 2 weeks!!



i had a load of kids run out in front of me this morning... i was going slow cos it's a bad road near a school and it was 8:30... so not a problem.

(and i was eyeing up the yummy mummy's!!)

They look like a pretty bright bunch of kids - I bet if they saw a video like the one Dave is talking about you wouldnt need to tell them to keep away from towing vehicles from then on ....

Not that it's my place to give advice ... but kids are funny bunch and I reckon the wiring from their eyes to their brain is better than from their ears
