      I had a Cavalier do that on the M1 about 15 years ago - that seized up and died instantly. It would never have startee again like that R22 did

        When I used to have a beach buggy and we'd do some of the VW shows they'd put a beetle engine in a lexan box, fire it up with no oil in and have a sweepstake on how long it would run. Used to run for ages sometimes, amazing.

              it's amazing what some engines will take, me and my mates had a fiat panda once that we had enough of so we put a brick on the trottle and stood back hoping it would pop in a spectacular fashion, but it just kept going at full revs, the entire exhaust underneath was glowing red hot in the end and it just kept going, it never did die... very dissapointing
              No longer a Surf owner.
