    anyone tried these air filters from roughtrax ??

    i like Green filters - used them on my astra TD and made a big difference. not sure if it will help the Surf though but id probably go for a direct replacement one.

      If you chuck more air in, you need to chuck more fuel in aswell, you don't want to do that. Think of the ozone layer.

        not putting anymore air in...
        just reducing the restriction of the air flow so it doesn't have to suck so hard...

            The drawback of those types of filter, though, is that to let more air in,
            they also let more of everything else in.

                Which, ironically, leads to the filter clogging up more quickly than a standard
                one, thereby reducing intake.
