Just a quick question can any of you guys that have done the L/Cruiser spring lift,i would like to know what shocks you have used for the 3" lift as i am in the proccess of ordering all my bits. The thing is will the standard shocks for a 2" lift be sufficient and not bottom out (so to speak) while off-roading as i will probably be taking off the A R Bar.
If anyone has the +3" shocks could they possibably give me the number that is stamped on the shocks or if they have a code for them please so i can get them ordered from Barry.T.I.A

Vince has said +2" are fine on the road, but he dosn't get his truck dirty so I don't know how much they limit flex at full droop.

I just sold a set of +3" rears to The Fungus Guy, you want me get you a set?

They are £35 each plus shipping (about £7ish I'd think, but Linda's filed the delivery note so I don't know for sure)

Are you sure you need +3" for the front, are you getting that much lift on the front?

Will the +2" be enough as i was thinking a bit ahead if i decided to get the front lifted the full 3" at a later date so i wouldnt have to spend out again on shocks

Downward travel on the axle is limited by the top control arm and fuel tank clearance on the drivers side anyway, see pic.

The only thing with +3" on a standard front is they might not collaspe enough. If you've jacked the torsions at all it might be OK.

are we talking 3000's or 9000's
