My original Geolanders are shot (perished between treads)

would like to replace them with a bigger & more aggressive tyre. i like the look & need something good in soft/wet sand as i frequently launch a dive boat from the beach But also needs to be usable on the road (it's about 60miles to the beach).

Oh and they have to be cheep!

i like the look & price of the Greenway Machos, will they fit a standard height 2nd gen (i had +2" rear springs but one broke so back on the originals).

Also what are they like on the road?

    & finaly
Does anyone have a photo of a surf with these tyres fitted ?

    Cheers

BFG M/T or A/T are your ideal tyre, Kumho's are second best, and normally £10 or so cheaper a tyre. Personally I wouldn't go any cheaper if you want good handling in the wet, long life and to be able to hear the radio.

The tyres you're looking at definatly offroad bias, they are likely to be heavy, noisy and a bit skittish in the wet.

Any truck that does any amount of road miles isn't very pleasant on anything more aggressive than Mud Terrains.

31x10.5 R15 is the biggest tyre size you need to be fitting. I'd lean toward Mud Terrains for on the beach.

Obviously all the about is only MHO, before anyone starts.

Oh look, another broken +2" spring. You should all get landcruiser springs, you'd have a blummin' hard time breaking them bad boys!

I too have the 31" Greenway Machos fitted. So far I've found them to be great off-road, and fine on road. There is a little extra tyre noise, but once you get to crusing speed it's barely noticeable above the other sounds of a 2 ton brick parting the air.

I reckon I'll be fitting them again when this set dies.

errr, arn't they directional? Tyres with a V shaped tread always point forward looking from above.

Yeah, I think I pointed that out when Joker first posted that pic. He's fixed the 'problem' now.

will they fit on standard rims

                              Thanks for the replies
                              just one other question
Will they fit on the standard surf rims
not sure what size they are but they have 265/70/15's on at the moment
cause i cant afford a 2nd set of wheels (new baby's siphoning off all spare funds at the moment).

                              Cheers
