They tend to be pretty much of a same standard. Only thing you need to
really consider is how secure you want your vehicle, i.e: how many immobiliser
circuits, what type of sensors. Price wise, they vary greatly. No price is too
great for peace of mind.
all cat1 are certified to a standard... anything less is a waste of time...
basic packages seem to be about the same price, but it all depends what you want it to do (add ons).
Personally i've always loved the toad ai606 alarm. had it on 2 of my cars now and always behaved. plus you can have loads of add-ons on them if you want, and for the basic set up its cost me £250 fitted each time and its fully cat 1 approved.
just ring round some local installers. Toad and cobra are good. Clifford are good too, but quite expensive.
