If it was a mk1 then it's probably the 3.1 V6. They do sound nice.

Also available as a very rare RS3100 V6, only in orange with black "duck bill" spoiler and gold pinstriping. Or maybe the ultra rare RS2600 V6, most of which did the '70's touring car racing against the batmobile BMW's. Normally in white with blue pinstriping.

Had the "e" fantastic car - mine was rebored to 3.1 with kent cams and triple carbs, full janspeed exhausts. 15 MPG and zero traction in the wet! Cool! Shame the bodywork was sponsered by Isopon P38!
