Morning Fellas & and fellets..

got my tow bar fitted Hooray! not i'm on the scout for a trailer.
I basically need one for ferrying logs around for fuel (nope not a surf conversion) that would take it back to steam... i wonder.....

anyway .....

Trailer was wondering if you guys would know of what sort of trailer i would need?

it will have to be able to kept in a garage, be deep enough to hold plenty of wood & maybe barrels of waste veg oil....

Would a 4 wheel one be better for the weight or will a 2 wheel be suffice?

Any suggestions?

4 wheel will be much more stable and you will be able to get a plant trailer with a very heavy capacity. These usually have sides about 300 - 400mm deep. The logs will not overlad a plant trailer - increase the side wall by standing some plywood up when you're picking up your logs.

or new will be about £1500 - search for plant trailer.

you rang
sounds like an Ifor Williams GD105 would do nicely and it should fit in a garage OK as Ive had them in mine before. Thats 10'x5' and you can buy stuff like higher sides / ladder racks etc.
If thats too big try a GD84, 8' x 4' single or twin axle, you just need to decide how much weight you are likely to carry as they have different carrying capacities.
