Is this an OK price to pay

I think I may have found me a Surf (I don't have any pics to put up yet), but its a K plate 2.4 TD with recarco interior and a JAOS kit..

Its overall in reasonable condition for age, no rust or anything with 100,000 miles on the clock.

The guy wants £3,500k for it ?

What do you think ?

I think you could buy a good 3.0 for that kind of money. You can get a very nice 2nd gen 3.0 for £4k.

I paid £3,500 a couple months ago for a '95 N 3ltr.

Unfortunately the bottom has fallen out of the market, and we're now flooded with Surfs. I paid £4,500 for my J Reg 2.4 2 years ago.

JAOS stuff is expensive to buy, but I still wouldn't pay more than £3000 for that truck.

JAOS stuff is expensive, but it's only worth paying more if you want it. What kit does it have? If it's just a bull-bar then I'd not let it increase the value to me as a buyer by more than a couple hundred at most.

£3K is a MAX, assuming that the car is otherwise absolutely spotless.

Do the parts ever sell on forums, and are they expensive to replace ?

If it's got all that, and YOU value those parts for YOUR car, then yes £3K is probably worth it.

But you could buy a later model for less, and then customise it to your own spec, but probably not with JAOS stuff.

even with head done its way over priced, may look nice on your drive but dont be over influenced by the bling ,

this is way overpriced,lookat the basic truck not the add on parts
2.4-100000 miles you can do better

I agree, you could do way better. I've just bought a '93 3.0L SSR-X with 76K & pretty spotless for £2300. As others have said, don't be roped in by the goodies!
