        it lives!!!!!
        dug an interesting science project out of all 4 carbs today, half rewired it, and stuck the front end out of a 900r in it, and fired her up!!!
        it leaks oil and petrol, the back shocks had it, but apart from that, its great! now all i have to do is shoe horn a 900r back wheel in, tidy up a few details, get an mot and an ownership doc, and i am back on the road! cheers ian, haven't had so much fun in ages

        (anyone know any cheap sources for catering packs of swarfega, gunk, chain lube and wd40 )

          Well done Charlie Told ya a good vet would have it up on it's feet in no time , By the way after you left i found the plastic chain gaurd and the bit the pillion holds onto on the back, if you need em give me a shout, there not all that though, looks like the chain was rubbing on the gaurd and the other bit has been sprayed silver (badly).

            dont chuck em out yet mate, im off in search of a local breakers for a few bits and pieces, if they havent got any i'll dosh you up for some postage if thats ok.
            this is like a second childhood- havent been in a bike breakers for probably 15 years!!!
