3.0td would be best but whatever you buy make sure it aint a turkey lol

Best advice i can give : Stretch it closer to 4k and buy mine!! ( I must remember to give her a good polish tomorrow and post an official for sale add!)

Buying off a forum member is probably the safest way to buy if like me you dont no alot about motors.
I wouldent be afraid to travel for the right car and if it looked good-drove well-had a long mot ticket and importantly the owner had it for a while and came across as genuine BUY IT!!
