plastic headlamps

does anybody know if these are any good.surely if they are made from plastic the heat from the bulb would melt them or discolour them wouldnt it.

A lot of aircraft landing lights have plexi covers on them. They're just a bit brighter than car headlamps so I guess they'll be OK.

Most modern cars now use plastic headlights. Was a bit wary myself at first, but they're certainly proving very robust.
