Re the head:
The truck did not have a service history so i don't know if the head has been changed but the dealer added the warranty without me asking and assured me they would repair any faults to the engine and gearbox if it arose in the 30 days.That is in writing so i have no reason to disbelive should it occur.
Time will tell.
On this matter can i tell if mine has a possible suspect head (ie...engine number)?
The engine sounds sweet as a nut with no black smoke or untoward noises.
Also where can I locate a manual / handbook, and what does the ECT BUTTON do?

I would go back to your dealer, and clarify the warrenty. a lot of dealers give a £500.00 warrenty, which aint gonna cover a head replacement. However, if the head gose a couple of months after the warrenty has run out you can still get it repaired by the dealer, you have to quote the sale of goods act. All said and done, you got a good truck for a good price, so if you do have to pay for the head, it is well worth it. Happy trucking

Found one at last!

Checked the seatbelts and it appears to have been built in 1992.
Diffs yet to be checked for lsd fitment, awaiting a trolley jack.
