  • Here's a little question which

You may or not be able to answer !

Anyone tried one of the camera card type video cameras ?

What are they like, what's the output like, and on what resolution ?

Tam just bought a JVC HDD camcorder on Saturday to take on hols . It has a 6 hour internal hard drive memory and a HD card memory of 5 hours .No discs or tapes , no moving parts I know of. Battery lasts 2 hours with a 1 hour recharge . Not fully tried it yet , but will this weekend . It also takes a massive still photo aswell , something like 600 pics .
Will be testing at weekend and let you know .
We shopped around and played a couple of retailers Comet and Currys against each other and got the camcorder , MP3 player , HD card , camcorder bag , MP3 headphones , with £100 off and a 3 year guarentee thrown in.
Tam drives a hard bargin .(and a Toyota)

        Nope,

You can get em now that use just the card for film, they are at the cheaper end of the market.

Tam tried her one at weekend but not yet viewed the video yet . As it was at a meal with her family it would proberbly be best not seen . It will be like feeding time at the zoo with her lot .

Unless the fps or resolution are very low, it should be fine. Fps is the most
important aspect for smooth video. Even tape based recorders had a low line
resolution compared to normal tv/video standards, (unless it was S-VHS or
Super/Hi-8), so it can't really be any worse than.

looked at getting one of those, is it 20 or 30 gb hard drive ??
think you can get a better battery that will last longer
is it an sd card that go's in it ???
Only Toyota can get you out of shite

Tams takes a SD card not HD card (?) as I posted b4 . Hers runs a ni-cd block battery which will last 1.5 hrs+ . Bought an uprated batt from Jessops . Hard drive has 24 hr + record time on eco setting . Still not checked it yet .
