What you do is find the most expensive examples in the local autotrader mag (4 or 5 should do), then post them to them as a true reflection of the value of the car. That what my insurance company told me to do when they made me a $$$$ offer, and it worked. They held their hands up and said they didn't really know what the car was worth, so were happy for me to prove how much it would cost for me to replace it with the same car.
