That photo makes the 4th gen look a lot better than in real life. It's a total mess when you see it.

As for the engines, I'm not convinced that they're going to be any thirstier than old diesel engines and at least it moves when you press the 'go' pedal.

Sancho does it really look that bad in the flesh ? The one we had here on site looked good in the silver, honestly didn't get too close but my associate said it was quite well appointed in the cab

I have to admit, that black one does look nice. Not so keen on the silver, something about the wheel arches just doesn't look right. Maybe if they weren't squared off and a bit more flared?

Mind you, if it came down to a choice between a 4th gen, and a FJ, it'd be a hard one to decide.

All the proportions are wrong, it looks like a Ssangyong Musso with a body kit.

For a Toyota, however, . Call me finnicky, but the Toyota beauty

I just had a look for the best looking Musso I could find, just as a kind of kick in the guts, and also chanced upon a 4runner looking rather nice.
