  • Bonnet scoop & rain

If you fit a bonnet scoop and an intercooler and then go driving in heavy rain (or paddling) would the water flowing through the intercooler heat exchanger cause any problems???

Shouldn't think so. It's not a heat exchanger as such, just a heat dissipater.

Nope, it'll evaporate on the engine anyway.
When you go paddling, the cold water on the intercooler would give you more oomph.

Some intercooler systems spray a mist of water / alcohol across the intercooler to increase the efficiency, so getting a bit of rain on it can only improve things.

you could get yourself another washer bottle and a couple of washer jets, set them up so that they spray at the intercooler at the flick of a switch.
