Can I turn off the Passenger Airbag to a 3rd Gen Surf?

Hi, I am thinking about buying a 3rd Generation Surf. I will need to put a child seat in the front and wondered whether anyone knew whether the passenger airbag could be turned off?

As far as i know there is no Overide for the passenger airbag. On my 1999 3rd gen there is a warning against putting young children in the front passenger seat due to the Airbag.

nah... you have to put it in the back... and might find the seatbelts are too short for a rear facing.
a forward facing one is ok though.

I put a rear facing child seat in the back of my 2nd gen and the belts are VERY tight... Does go though... Just

It also helps if you lean the rear seat as far back as possible.. with it in the 'straight up' position you don't have a chance
