Battery charging

Just another quickie. Charging batteries in vehicle. Do they need disconnecting,
or is it okay to pop the charger on whilst they are in circuit, in situ?

In circuit is fine. Just don't try and start it without removing the charger first

But....

Do be careful, you may possibly spike the ECU (electronic control module) if charging using a rapid charger. It is always best policy to disconnect the earth terminal/s (if twin batteries) leaving the batteries in situ is normally fine unless a battery blows up...oooer this will only happen if you create sparks..turn the charger off before disconnecting from the battery
