      I got 340km out of £50 which I suppose is about 48 litres, but I was towing horses for 90m of that

        Youd probably improve your mpg if you put them in a trailer... they have wheels... which makes them easier to tow.

              Have been driving my 4runner (manual gearbox) steady since I got it, best so far was 34 mpg average over 75 miles (20 on the motorway). Impressed as my 2.4 LC does under 30 no matter how you drive it and is ridiculously slow compared to the Runner.
