I have a friend with a bit of a problem, can you help ?

Are you able to point us at the diagnostic codes for a 2.5 Twin Turbo soarer ?

This car will run happily when the weather is cloudy, when sunny it dies about 5 seconds after faultlessly firing up !

When he calls the AA to recover it along comes a cloud and hay presto the %$^$%^$ is running again.

Slight update, if running when sunny NO problem, but starts and dies when sunny - so if you can keep it running you are laughing.

He thinks it's a fuel pump problem.

Is it temp related, hot/sunny, cold/cloudy, or is your friend saying that the fault
actually is dependent upon the visible attributes of the weather?

He says that when it is cloudy it fires up and keeps running, if sunny it fires and dies within 5 seconds - if it becomes sunny after firing up it keeps on going.

Just been reading this, and they suggest fuel filter blocked, or TPS (Throttle position sensor) problem, or fuel pump ECU.
