Hi all you great Surfers. Just popped in to see how you are all getting on. Life here in France is great and everything I expected. Really do miss my Surf though. Just wish I could find a 3rd gen with the steering wheel on the wrong side and on a French registration. Now where is the fairy godfather when you want him. Off next week to look at a Toyota VXE which I think is the nearest thing I am going to get to my beloved Surf.

Thanks Neville, I looked at this one but it is a second gen so the rear tailgate arrangement is no good for us. With the bottom half dropped we cannot get to open the dog cage doors. We need the 3rd gen where all the back opens up, plus I am very spoilt I need it to be auto.

Yes the wine is cheap and plentiful. The pension buys an hell of a lot more of it over so I tend to be a little unsteady on my feet most days!!!!!

Where we are is great for off roading with many tracks through the forests. But sadly the Disco does not give me the same urge as the Surf.
