does anyone know what colour the charge warning light wire is.or its location on the three pin plug.

Yellow according to my manual.

ooooeeerrr.cheers vince but i didnt notice a yellow wire.ill have another look in the morning.its raining at the mo and i cant be bothered to get wet.did it mention any coloured traces.

From the bulb to the ignition fuse it says B-Y
The other side of the bulb it's marked Y-L

that might have something to do with it.the 2.4 efi has a round three pin plug

Maybe start at the alternator connection and work back from there????

I would go with either black/yellow or yellow/blue
