  • Idle Up Switch

    Hi all,

I had to have the dash apart today to fit a radio expander, not the nightmare I was expecting. Those nips a clever little so and so's, the panels some just clipping in and others clipping and screwing to fit. Once you have had it apart once it's not too bad. Anyway, I did notice a blue multi connector next to the hard/soft suspension switch which is not connected to anything. The space where the Idle Up switch would go is taken up with a rear fog light switch.

    My question is...

Can anyone confirm that their Idle Up switch has a blue multi connector on the back of it? I am tempted to buy a Idle Up switch off ebay and try it.

    Wot U lot think?

Soooooooooooo, do you reckon that it's worth a punt and trying an idle up switch?

Is there a light that comes on the dash when the idle up is engaged?

How do you use it, does it idle up for a set time or does it cut out when you start to drive?

        Yes.
        No.
        Yes.

It's a spring loaded switch, press once to activate, press again to de-activate.

            OK I'll go for it.

I've got a switch off ebay and will let you know when I get it what happens.

              Don't

Touch that switch, I did that one time

and the doors flew off both sides

mind you I also have big feet, and a flower that squirts black ink

so it might not be much use listening to me after all
