i am going self employed.. they wanted £2500 for buisness use insurance for my surf so i had to sell it.

Thanks to every one on here for helping me out from time to time its been a great website for support.

i guess i will be atempting the devils pit in my dihatsu hijet van eh?

Christ. What was the business use. Rallying? Seriously, you should be able
to get business insurance far cheaper than that. Mine's on class1, fully comp
and came in at under £400 this year.

lol ah, im only 20 years old and insurance companys havnt finished raping me yet..

That explains that, then. Insurance companies ought to be put up against
a wall and shot. That's really what you could really class as trying to encourage
small business startups. If you're about to go self employed, make sure you
go into the local government business thingy place, (can't remember what they
call it), and apply for a startup grant. You might as well apply for what you can
before they start screwing you over. All the best in your new venture, BTW.

Local Enterprise Agency (often disguised as a Business Link) I think Matt means also try your local Federation of Small Businesses they have competitive insurance deals and don't try to sell you cover you don't need !!

Paulh has got some for me to collect down at junc35 ,unfortunately since we set up to collect we have had floods at the BBIC and I had to move sandbags at home (oh the tropical weather of south yorkshire!) so hopefully will get them today or tomorrow

Hello everyone! after my last post in 2006 i have finally managed to own a Surf again
Any old timers still going strong on here? i have missed this forum and was confident to buy another hilux surf because i knew you guys will look after me on here.
Today i bought a KZN130 1995 in black, before i had a blue 1991 2.4 (as seen in my profile pic that i have forgot how to change)
