  • Auxillary Temp Gauge

    Hi Y'all
    Me again.

Thinking of adding an auxillary temperature gauge for the coolant.
My question is where is the best place to "insert" the temperature sensor.

Polite and not R18 answers only please!

    Electric sensor or capillary tube?

Was just going to go for the electric sensor, (K type and a digital display panel), don't really know the pros and cons of either.
Bit of a novice so would appreiate any guidance.

Go to Motosave or somewhere similiar, get one of the Tim electric gauges,
use the largest adapter for the sensor in the bag, remove the blanking plug
from the thermostat housing, insert sensor in adapter, insert sensor into hole
in the thermostat housing, wire up, jobs a good 'un. It'll cost under thirty quid.
Just noticed you said digital display. Most gauges are analogue. Ebay or
somewhere will have digital display ones.
