  • Any use for?

Having a bit of a clearout, so this list may keep growing.

Does anyone have a use for some backup UPS's? Possibly to make an
inverter for the vehicle. APC ones with no batteries, but can't be arsed
to replace the batteries so will probably end up skipping if no-one wants
them. They're taking up too much floor space.

part or model numbers would do... its the replacement batteries that are relatively pricey depending on the model...

Backup power supplies for computer equipment. They are an inverter
that runs from an integral 12V SLA battery. That's why I wondered if
anyone might be wanting to do a bit of for-in-vehicle modifying.
                This gives a rough idea:

Been so long since I replaced a battery, I can't remember for definite,
but they would be somewhere around that AH.

Seems to be working okay at the moment. Put the fan back in yesterday
after adapting it for a tad more clearance.

How are you faring with the rad. Have you had it recored yet?

Only got the generic model numbers off them for the moment. Nearly broke
a limb trying to get close enough to read the fronts. (As you can probably
tell, storage space is becoming something of a problem. )

                      1 x Back-UPS 650
                      2 x Back-UPS Pro 650
                      1 x Smart-UPS 1000
                      1 x Smart-UPS 1400

There may be a couple more 650's knocking about somewhere. Can vaguely remember stashing some more somewhere.

just about to try my last idea before getting it recored
1" lift in rear of bonnet
dissconnected tranny oil cooler out of rad so the kenlowe oil cooler is on its own now and not heating up the rad hopefully
going to the Avalanche weekend with caravan so will be the ultimate test, will keep you informed

ups 7 ah sealed batteries are usually the type in alarm panels and they are about £15.00 each if you get them from an alarm installer
we go tru them like water, money for old rope chage batteries every 3 years when servicing alarm panels

If you're going to make up spacers to lift the bonnet, don't go for any more tham 3/4 of an inch, or the bonnet will be in too much stress when it's shut.
                          It just does, OK?

well if i get the tape measure out i guess mine is about 3/4" actually i just put longer hinge bolts in and packed them out with large nuts and washers
if it works then i will do what a lot of others have done and put vents in the bonnet, just been aroud the village and its amazing how much heat comes out.
                            cheers for the warning
