  • Waxoiling Tailgate

    Hi,

I asked a company that does waxoil treatment about getting my 1995 3.0L SSR-X done.

The owner, who has been in the waxoil business over 20 years, said that he could do it apart from the inside of the rear tailgate as there was a reason it could not be done. When I asked him why he was not very informative.

Does anybody know if the tailgate can be done and, if so, how the window is raised safely while the tailgate is down? Is there anything else to be aware of?

Thanks for any assistance you can give.

with the tail gate down click the locking points either side of the tailgate
then raise the window but make sure you have someone/something to take the weight of the glass then you can get to the inside

also make sure the dogs are shut in or they will jump over the glass, scaring you witless, and then land in amoungst all the gubbins and cause havoc to the wiring/gears n'stuff....

once you take the carpeted cover off the is a long metal plate with 10mm bolts i think it is and then a plastic cover under that
