Smoket Nissan

Morning all. A mate for some reason has just bought a Nissan Mistral import. Not a bad car, but when he puts his foot down he get a load of black sooty smoke out the exhaust which then gose when the revs level out, any ideas as to what this might be? Does it need a load of redex in the tank?

That's just over fueling. (very uneconomical) when you floor it, extra fuel is pumped into the combustion chamber for that extra bit of oomph! ( A bit like the grunt old people give out when lifting themselves up from comfy chairs)

A Discovery diesel makes about the same amount of $$$$e when accelerated hardish. If everything is as the manufacturer intended then there is no remedy except to accelerate more carefully.

I told him to get one, he had every intention of getting one, but his old women saw the nissan and said it looked nice, and she wanted that one. $$$$$$ women, spoil everything dont they
