Just an update for anyone who may be interested! I have been haveing trouble finding some nuts to fit the crag jap aftermarket wheels i bought as you prob know!! Got a set of chrome bevel nuts and found they are not suitable for alloys, Tried turning down some long bevel nut but unable to get a decent shoulder on em, plus it would have taken ages to do all 24 of em,
Bronco only do chrome replacements for the standard "shoulder" nut so i thought sod it and orderd a set plus a set of lockers with the intension of reeming, drilling or fileing out the holes to suit, on trying to file em i found the hole has a steel liner in it (see pics) A short lenght of steel tube and a lump hammer soon popped all of em out, So you "can" use either shouldered or bevelled nuts with or without these inserts, Makes sence when you think about it for an aftermarket wheel, Gonna keep the shoulder nut as i think they look better and beefier, I got more nuts than ya can shake a stick at now!!!
