  • New wheels!

got me new wheels and tyres!

just chrome steel rims with colway 265/70 16 M/Ts on

only bought them for off road, but they don't look too bad!

had a mad rush for wheel nuts this morning! Newbury 4x$ had 13 so off to reading to the toyota dealer!... "none on the shelf, can get some for wednesday... what's your chassis number?"
eventually got some from elite wheels and tyres (nice bloke)

put wheels on.... up drive.... knock knock knock... catching brake caliper! off to town again to get some spacers!

    fingers crossed!

    edit.
after driving a bit, it's worn away where it was rubbing! got some washers to space them out just a tad to clear caliper... (no spacers availiable for 6 stud wheels!)

    edit (again)
do you like my new driveway??. (the muddy bit's just where i gotta get some turf down!)

good off road to, as proven at the pit today!

only trouble i had was a slight contact with the calipers on the front. drove down the shops like that and it pretty much cured itself, but put washers over the studs to space them out slightly. and had to hunt round a bit to get some wheel nuts, but that's cos he said they came with the wheels but they didn't!

Just got a price of £260 from Bronco4x4 for a set of 5 chrome steel wheels, including delivery to Ireland. Works out at about €370....

                        Not a bad price!

Not to hijack a thread or anything, but does anyone know where one can acquire some wheel spacers. The bolt on kind, made form aluminium.
