first off i would like to say im sorry because i have wasted a new thread to ask a simple question.. where do you put the jack to lift the truck? i thought it was anywhere where the side steps bolt onto but thats guessing and i need to make sure. cheers guys

at the rear, either side of the diff on the axle.
at the front, under the front cross member next to the wishbone conection.

dont jack under the steps they are not strong enough

nor the sills or any of the body...

any part of chassis is good, but axles and diffs are best

on the fron wishbones (on a 3rd gen anyway) there are 3 "lumps"... the jack sits nicely between them.

If you lie on your back and look up at the chassis, there's a couple of areas where the words "Place vehicle jack here" are stamped on.

dont jack under the steps they are not strong enough

they are on a 1st gen, i used the steps as a jacking point when i done the body lift...they didn't bend and no damage occured.
