2nd / 3rd gen Seats

Probably a stupid question...but you never know till you ask

Will 2nd gen seats (front and back) fit a 3rd gen?

If so, do they fit perfectly, or are they not as wide and leave a gap?

i'm sure somebody has done this b4 but they had to modify the rails and fixings so the 2nd seats would fit
