the fecking surf has infected my other car! ggggggrrrrrrrrrraaaaaahhhhhhh! !!!!!
my mondeo has done me a reliable 245,000 miles and parked it next to the surf this week (too hot to mess with the garage handle - it heats up to about 65million degrees when the sun's out) and now the clutch is on it's way out!
in all seriousness, this will be the 2nd clutch the car's had and they take over a full working day to do (never trust a specialist - when the gearbox went at 180,000 miles i had quotes of gearbox and clutch at £1200 + VAT, got the box from a s$$$$ yard for £150, new 3 piece clutch for £60, oil, swear jar, pack of plasters and a crate of beer to bribe a clever brother, and job done to best standard you can get for less than £300) and since the car has now seen better days it is time to retire the old girl.
so surf now getting blame for the mondeo's impending retirement from snotty suits and night time drunks and grannies with incontinence.
