  • Bird issues sorted... thanks to Shaggy!!

Shaggy posted a link on here to the bird forum he brought. Well I'd just like to say a massive thank you to him!

I visited the site yesterday as our hand reared cockatiel Marlie died whilst we were away (don't get me started on how it happened.... ). Within a couple of hours I was in tough with a lovely lady and am now fixed up with a new hand reared cockatiel.

Well worth a visit to Bird Info site

    Thanks Shaggy!!!

Basically the housesitter (ex - housesitter) left on Friday and against instructions left the birds in the conservatory with all the windows closed and no food for the whole of last weekend in all that heat. We got home on the Monday morning from honeymoon to a dead cockatiel and sickly budgie.

I'm so livid with her as that bird was handreared and very precious and I hate to think of them both suffering like that. There were other people she could have asked to do the birds if she wasn't there, and she could at least have followed instructions and left them in the cool lounge with the windows open and enough food and water for 2 days!

Needless to say she will not be housesitting for us again.

Danny the budgie is now recovering and should be fine.
