  • A VERY dusty Langdale

We did the "Quest" today, it was very dusty, pics to follow. Only bit of mud was found off the regular track so I had to explore that.

Was Great to meet the 3 of you Stu, Hope you found someplace for the lil one to have a play on way home. What the hell was going on with that toll road? it was melting all over the place!!!!!!!!1

Need a 3 inch suspension lift now I think, can't wait to do it all again after a rainy spell.

I used to have a surf me!

Did a bit of green laning today- that too was very dusty. All the usual 'mud runs' were caked hard & dry. Made a change though!

A big apology for not being able to make it today. Really wanted too, but had to pop down to south wales for a few days. Ended up travelling last thing last night. Still dead to the world at 11.30 this morning. Got home at 3am, played the old game 'how far can you travel on 1/4 of a tank'. 1/4 of a tank in shefield, to make it to silsden (west yorkshire/north yorkshire border) at 65 mph MADE IT.
It takes a lot out of you to drive carefully at 2am. Things we men do for women.
        Al, put some pictures up.

          Hi Jim,
Don't you worry yourself matey, there is always a next time. And it will be better in the wet. We had a great time and even saw a real life deadly Adder crossing the road on the quest. Had to stop for it or would have killed it dead.

Pics will come today. Stu, do you mind your number plate being on the pics or would you rather they were not.

            Hi Al,

Its probably best not to have em on... just in case there are some thievin gits loggin onto here.... have done a couple of photies... work on rest tonight whilst on call....

i am amazed only got a few on the digi camera... and 30 mins on the video... (mostly of your backend) will sort out the rest tonight....

Next time we all go i wanna try and setup the video for the last 3 up and down hills as they seemed to be the hardest points of the trek... Woo hoo !!!!

Roger that Stu, big rain needed first eh?

Heres a few pics of our grand day out. Hard to tell how dusty it was from my pics as the dust was grey on a silver truk.

I smashed the fog light at Thornton-le-dale before we even got to the quest.

                    Cool pics- looks very dry.

Similar to the first ever 'Surf Forum' offroad day at the Devils Pit in September 2003. Does anyone here remember that day? Took me weeks to clean the dust out the truck.

Think it's in Yorkshire. It reminds me of the old RAC Rally stages...Well some of them...
