Upton on Severn Blues Festival

Its just down the road from me so I go every year. This year was the best so far, with the weather, bountiful pubs and some great bands all on the banks of a picturesque river. Best of all, it's free!!!

Not just blues bands, but a great Ska band, soul, 70's style rock (Whitesnake / Rainbow / Sabbath style etc) and lots of real ales. Summer Lightning, Bwtie Bach, Hobgoblin etc.

Therefore, to any surfers in the midlands, I can heartily recommend this to you as its on tomorrow too.

In fact, for next years festival, I'd be happy to arrange camping etc at one of the local sites for anyone who wants to attend. Would make a great get-together. Would anyone be interested? I'll remind you all next year anyway.

Oh yes! we would be up for some of that. Been to the Brecon jazz festival a couple of times but it's got too commercial and full of drunks, plus all the pubs and gatherings want money now.

It's an excellent day out. Very friendly, laid back and as I said, free.

The Upton Jazz festival is god too, but no longer free and the bands aren't as rockin!
