  • Wot a TW*T !

Thought I'd run some more tests to find out why I had no heated rear screen.

    Bulbs in switch - OK/Working.
    Connectors on screen - check.
    Power at screen - No.
    Power at switch - No.
Double check I had ignition on when testing - Check.

    Scratch head

Close tailgate and raise rear window..... it works !!!

As the title says 'Wot a TW*T !' - now working OK, I take it there must be a switch or relay to stop it from working if the tailgate or window is open?

Lesson learnt, go inside for a beer - jobs a goodun'

BTW, the FAQ's URL links (yotasurf...) are still at error 404, I take it that they are still on the newer server?
Life on the edge is short, but the view is great !

you may wish to note the following:

Cannot lower rear window if wiper not parked properly
Cannot open tailgate if window not fully lowered
Open rear window, whilst on the move with standard exhaust = fumes in the cabin!!!!

If it is actually an intermittent fault, wiring loom at bottom of door
may have a broken wire in it.
