    Hello all

As you can see I am new to the Surf game, my little bro (b16mts ) has one and has convinced me that I shoud invest in one too.

Getting back to my offroad roots (learned to drive in a Landy 88).

Anyway I havent got a Surf at the moment but will be buying one during the next few weeks (hopefully a fresh import), appart from the usuall car stuff what should I be looking out for when buying?

    Any info would be great

Hi and welcome.Tell that brother of yours to give you some help the tight git.

make sure it has been serviced all belts fluids etc if a 2nd gen take it onto some loose ground and check the 4wd out and just check anything and everything. If it's a 2.4 and they say the head has been changed get some paperwork to prove it or walk away but your better off with a black 3lt and dont 4get the pics when you get one

First things first bro, take a look round on the forum, have a look on the sticky's up above to see whats what.

there's TONNES of info on there, everything from maintenance to options, to performance stats.

Also, anyone around Exeter fancy helping my bro find a good truck in the next few weeks? i'm sure there'd be a bottle of scrumpy in it somewhere for ya!! I'd do it but its a bit far for me up in cheshire.

      welcome aboard bro.

              Welcome to the nut house!

Also see here for another FAQ: http://www.hiluxsurf.eu/

Don't worry about the colour, they all come with the same sized grin attached (just don't go buying that bright yellow one with the cr@p paint finish that was lurking on flEabay)

                    Hi,

                    Welcome to Surf land...

Have only just got one myself (see my picture left) and yes the GRIN is built in

Go for a 3.0L and the colour MUST be Burgundy over Grey for added speed

Sorry guys could not ressist, better place my head here >
Life on the edge is short, but the view is great !
