  • Do You Know What it Is?

    Hi,

Please see attached picture, it came with the Surf.

I think it fits behind the spare wheel on the carrier, but I don't know what it function is?

    Ideas on a postcard please?

Almost there. It fits on the spare wheel carrier studs, then the spare wheel goes over it, and holds it in place

Not sure if it was originally for an eloborate wheel cover, or for a bike carrier to be screwed to, but you now have two handy M10 tapped bolt holes to attach other gizmos to in the middle of you spare wheel!

            Right...

So if I took the spare wheel off, this then fits to the carrier then the spare wheel goes back on the carrier?

I thought that it might hold a cover or something in front of the spare wheel.

So it does not need to be on there in normal use then?

Thanks guys, still not sure what to do with it.

No, it doesn't need to be on for normal use.

It just slides on the 3 wheel carrier studs, then the wheel, then all held in place with the wheel nuts.

The more I think about it the more I'm sure someone once said it was for attaching a solid type spare wheel cover.

But like I said, could be used for attaching all sort of gizmos!

Sorry to tell you this Paff but it looks to me like the invisability/cloaking divice field generator ring, which means that the invisability shield will not completly cover you surf. They are fairly easy to fix but you need to apply lots of beer to the fixing operater to make the field constant all around the vehicle.

Not that type of field baby buddy the field I mean is the area covered by the invisability waves.

I thought it looked like part of the quantum particle accelerator, although saying that, mine has an extra part in the centre where the impulse drive coupling goes.

                      Hope this helps.
