In the big smoke, we have our dust cupboards indoors and we call them 'toilets'. We 'flush' them with something called 'water', which is the stuff that swept one of your cows away in the river last year and that you use to check for witches. To get the 'water' to the 'toilet' we use 'pipes'.
'Pipes' are also useful in the 'garden', which is like a field but smaller and with no cows or gypsies, and we use them to water the grass and the plants, which are like small trees. If the pipes are 'flexible' we call them 'hosepipes'.
But we aren't allowed to use 'hosepipes' anymore because an evil giant called 'Thames Water' used up all the 'water' by pumping it into the 'ground' (where potatoes come from) rather than through the 'pipes'.
