Hi Richard, any good campsites (or even a field) around the St Ives area? thinking of travelling down that way in in a few weeks.

Because of the low-profile tyres, I'd keep it away from the rocky stuff, but such rubber tends to be wide (which is good for sand), and the 4WD system - complete with ETC - is lifted directly from the LR3 Discovery - about the only vehicle short of a Unimog that will go where a Range Rover can't.

I wouldn't hesitate, but usual precaustions apply etc..

i dont think there are many beaches down here you can drive on unless you are putting a boat in the water

Cheers Rich, sounds ideal. We're not into those noisy family camp sites, we like peace and seclusion. We only need room for this for a couple of nights, maybe three..........

the only thing is Vince the misses may have to do without a bog but i know a few years ago one farmer used to let people use a paddock next to his house and had a outside lavvy

To the best of my knowledge the only beach you can drive on is Polzeth and that is as safe as houses cos they have the carpark on it! If it were mine and I loaned it to you and you took it anywhere near salt water....I'd chin ya!

Book yourself onto the Landrover experience and have a go in one. I did it earlier this year and got to play in a Vogue SE.
Parts of your engine go up, stop then go back! Mm!
