Is the 3ltr engine the same as the 2.4 but with a differant head???

Woulnt've thought so. Not sure how you could get different swept area by changing head.
Perhaps someone knowledgable can tell us - bigger bores or different crank / rods?Cutting steps in the roof of the world -
It is a different design altogether. I don't know any details though.
