  • Towbar and electrics finished

    Thanks to everyone on here for the advice etc. Finished the towbar and electrics tonight.
    Towbar off ebay and other bits from local motor shop total cost £59.40.
    Here are some pics with the detachable bit in and out.

            The pics are a bit deceptive its actually more behind the bumper than under it and there is plenty of clearance as you can see using the foglight as a reference as this is bolted to the rear of the bumper.

              You might just find you'll have problems with some trailer jockey wheels due to being close to the bumper and the rear wheel.

              I have problems some times with an ifor trailer...gotta remember about the jockey wheel handle sometimes. Just gotta get some larger bolts to extend mine out a little bit

                i meant the amount it sticks out from the car?
                jockey wheels etc are only usually a prob on small trailers.

                  Its OK with the caravan and the trailer. On the picture it is right in as far as it will go when towing, it would be further out .
