Just glue on large pieces of rubber and reverse until you feel a bump then you know you are far enough back.
Just another hint from watching blue Peter, cardboard tubes and sticky back plastic, you still can't beat sound advice.

Well, I was planning to just wait till the spare tyre his something, but I think it might knock down my garden wall if I use that tactic.

You can get the kits or full install from most decent ICE shops these days. Some varients are quite cheap now.

go for a rear view camera!! link it in to your in car entertainment system which will have DVD, playstation, sat nav, multi screen, big boob tubes.... yeah! that would rock!

Heres a pic of my rear parking sensor, couldn,t find a decent picture of the front one.....but some folk call them a-bars.
Never scratched my motor yet ,trying to park ,funny but people are so polite ,they always leave me loads of room to get back out !
