I have a sound system that has a telly that pops out the dash. The CD autochanger has never been found even though it says CD on the front of the system

There is an audio and a video input on the front of the system. Could I use my ipod with this if i get a lead made up?? If so, where do I look for a source of the lead?

Lastly any one found an autochanger in their truck in an unusual place? if so where.

Yes, you can get a lead for your iPod. Is it marked as 'aux' or something like? What type of connector is it? 3.5mm? If so, there will be just one, and the socket will have 2 contacts. It is wired the same way as a 3.5mm stereo headphone socket. If its an RCA phono audio input, there will be two sockets, one for left and one for right (usually red = left, white = right, yellow = composite video). Maplin (or indeed probably comet or currys) will have a lead.

Problem will be deciding which terminal to solder in the jack plug to which wire in the output from the ipod.

By the way, flew the edge 540 today. Had over a dozen flights. $$$$$$ good day out.

They'd probably be readily available from your local computer shop. Seem to remember that on a 3.5mm, the tip is right, the small ring is left and the big ring is earth / common.

I flew my A-10 this morning in the still air and it flew great. I've had to change the tailplane incidence from what the kits said as it was way sluggish and unstable in pitch before, even with a forward CoG. It's too light if anything though. Seriously thinking of scaling it up and building it in balsa for a couple of wemotec fans as a winter project. It looks superb in the air but being foam it is going to look second hand pretty quick!

Got any photos of the Edge in flight? I fancy something aerobatic. Building a cranked planform flying wing at the mo for the slope, but might make it modular so I can put a brushless on it for days on the common.

Great, thanx 4 the info. Will sort it in the next week or so. got the ipod for the Brazil trip on the 23rd of June so will use in the surf as well.

No pics or vid of the edge as yet.. its too b l o o d y quick to get on cam. its an electric RTF RU a BMFA member? if so the edge is on the inside cover of this months mag. Its a great aircraft with a 10 X 6 up front.

I have a couple of ducted fans from an auction recently. Thinkin of bulidin an A10/Salamander. What scale are you on? Lipo/Nimh? whats the All up Weight?

The current A-10 is the GWS one. If I build a bigger one, the scale will be determined by the fans I can buy. I suspect it will end up around 4 - 5ft span.

After many hours of pondering and MS Excel fiddelery, I've just successfully fitted a 12% thick RG-15 thickness form to a NACA reflex camber line for my flying wing project. In theory, if I'm reading the books right, I should get the handling qualities of the RG-15 with zero pitching moment. I'll let you know in a few weeks when it's built! I enjoy the design and building almost as much as the flying.
